Earth Alkemie

Earth Alkemie's Buttercremes are scrumptious blends of butters that are lightly scented with essential oils and absolutes (an unscented Buttercreme is also available). Our Buttercremes are made with creamy, rich butters, including rare, certified organic Ugandan east shea butter (which is different from the regular, common west shea butter). Earth Alkemie's Buttercremes are rich in antioxidants and nutrients. We recommend applying them to damp skin to help seal in moisture, and to keep your skin feeling soft.

Eco notes: Earth Alkemie's Uganda Buttercreme and Vanille Lavande Buttercreme are made with certified organic east shea butter. In Vanille Lavande Buttercreme, our lavender essential oil is organic (non-certified).

**Please also note: east shea is a lot softer than west shea; it may become liquid during transit when warm (when east or west shea butter melts and then cools, the texture may change. Changes in texture will not affect the properties of the butter). If it is liquid when you receive it, place in the fridge to cool and harden.

Uganda Buttercreme Our Uganda Buttercreme is certified organic Ugandan east shea butter and vitamin E (no additional ingredients or scents added). Ugandan east shea butter, also known as nilotica shea butter, is a subspecies of the shea plant. Most shea butter is grown in west Africa, while east shea butter is grown in Uganda. East shea butter is lighter, creamier, easier to spread, and has only a slight scent, compared to unrefined west shea butter. It is naturally high in olein. It is one of Li's favorite ingredients in skin care. Use it all over the body to help soften and hold moisture to the skin. It may also be used by most people on the facial skin, and it is fabulous around the eye area. Recommended skin types: all, especially blemished and sensitive. Xiao (small) size is approximately 2 ounces and is packaged in a PET #1 blue colored PLASTIC jar. Grande size is approximately 4 ounces and is packaged in a PET #1 blue colored PLASTIC jar. Vanille Lavande Buttercreme

Creamy certified organic east shea butter is blended with fragrant organic French lavender, smooth and dreamy vanilla, and sweet lemony and earthy notes. Recommended for use all over the body. Vanille Lavande Buttercreme will leave your skin soft and delicately scented! Recommended body skin type: all, except the very sensitive (very sensitive skin may want to try our Uganda Buttercreme).
