Lavender Maillette Pure Essential Oil
Pictured above: 1/3 ounce (left) and 1 ounce (right) sizes of Lavender MailletteLavender is one of the most widely used and loved essential oils. This lavender essential oil was grown and steam distilled in France from the flowers. There are many species of lavender and different kinds of lavender: lavender grown in different areas have distinct variations in scent and may also differ in properties. Li (Earth Alkemie's owner and formulator) uses several kinds of lavenders grown in different areas, and this is one of her favorite lavenders. Earth Alkemie's essential oils are undiluted, and 100% pure (no carrier oils have been added to them). Our lavender maillette is true lavender from Lavandula angustifolia. This is a very lovely, floral lavender.Very floral, green and herbaceous, soft, sweet, non-camphorous. Lavender essential oil is suggested for all skin types: especially oily, dry skin, combination, normal, sensitive, couperose, and blemished. Highly recommended for use in all types of skin care products (cleansers, toners, elixirs, serums, creams, masks, body products, etc). Our lavender essential oil is packaged in a 1/3 ounce amber glass bottle with an orifice reducer, or 1 oz amber glass bottle with an orifice reducer. Essential oils are sold by weight not volume. For best results store in a cool, dark place, such as a fridge, wine cellar, cupboard, or non-humid basement.Though it is often stated that lavender can be used 'neat' in many aromatherapy books and websites, Li (who is a long time biologist, aromatherapist, and herbalist) does not recommend using any essential oils 'neat' (undiluted). Using essential oils 'neat' can lead to sensitivity, allergies, or worse sensitization over time. Li recommends diluting all essential oils, including lavender essential oil, to skin safe concentrations before use, especially if using it for facial skin care.Be sure to dilute well in a carrier oil or a base before use. Please note: If you order certain pure, undiluted essential oils, your order will be shipped using fed ex shipping (depending on their flash points). We will contact you if your order needs to be shipped using fed ex, and if excess shipping funds are needed.

Cold Pressed Blueberry Seed Oil
Pictured above: 1 oz size of blueberry seed oilBlueberry oil is a light weight oil from blueberry seeds. Earth Alkemie's blueberry oil is cold pressed and unrefined. It is light and absorbs well but it is a very emollient oil, great for dehydrated skin. It is high in antioxidants (it is one of the most potent natural sources of vitamin E found in oils) and carotenoids. Li (Earth Alkemie's owner and formulator) recommends that you blend it with other carrier oils (because it is a particularly potent oil). Our blueberry seed oil is darker and richer than many on the market. We recommend using blueberry seed oil to make elixirs (oil based serums), creams, lotions, body oils, and 'anti-aging' products.Blueberry seed oil is highly recommended for all skin types, especially dehydrated. Also suggested for blemished skin and to help improve the appearance of aging skin.Packaged in a 1 oz clear plastic PET #1 bottle.INCI: cold pressed Vaccinium corymbosum (Blueberry) Seed OilExtraction method: cold pressed, unrefined

Organic Rosehip Seed Oil
Pictured above: 1 oz size of organic rosehip seed oil
Rosehip seed oil is a medium weight oil that is cold pressed from rosehip seeds. Many studies have been done on Chilean rosehip seed oil on scarred and aged skin. It is a favorite of herbalists and aromatherapists for its skin care properties. Earth Alkemie's Chilean rosehip seed oil is organic, cold pressed, unrefined, virgin, and it is rich in antioxidants, and nutrients. Many other rosehip seed oils on the market are solvent extracted, refined, and grown in other areas.Chilean rosehip seed oil contains a gentle natural, plant based form of topical trans-retinoic acid, which is a kind of vitamin A. It is also rich in carotenoids and vitamin C. Highly recommended for elixirs (oil based serums), body oils, creams, and other skin products.Rosehip seed oil is recommended for most skin types including normal, dry, dehydrated, and combination. Many people with oily skin will like rosehip seed oil, but if your skin has active acne, we recommend testing rosehip seed oil on half your face, or mixing with another oil (since it may be too rich on its own or may aggravate acne). But it is great to use after acne has cleared up (as a spot treatment on any marks).Packaged in a 1 oz clear plastic PET #1 bottle.INCI: organic Rosa rubiginosa (Rosehip) OilExtraction method: cold pressed, unrefined, virginFrom Chile; grown in an organic manner (without synthetic or harmful synthetics or pesticides but non-certified). |

Vegetable GlycerineVegetable glycerine is a humectant (it helps the skin retain moisture). We recommend adding this to water based products (use a few drops to 100%. We recommend starting with dilutions of 1-10%). When used at 15-20% concentrations or more, vegetable glycerine can preserve for short amounts of time (a few weeks to a few months, depending on the product's formulation) and if used in higher concentrations can preserve for a few or more months. (However products can feel quite sticky when used in high concentrations). Recommended for skin care products like toners, creams, lotions, and masks. Also great for making herbal extracts/glycerites!
